I have been a health care provider for over 19 years. I completed my studies in Occupational Therapy at Boston University, and hold a Doctorate in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine and a Masters in Traditional Chinese Medicine studying both Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in New York City. I have trained extensively with Sonia Sumar founder and co-director of The Yoga for the Special Child® Method and am a senior licensed practitioner of this method. Additionally I am a 200 hour registered yoga teacher and registered children's yoga teacher through Yoga Alliance, and a Certified Aromatherapist through the New York Institute of Aromatherapy.
My passion is helping people feel comfortable and peaceful in their bodies. The Yoga for the Special Child Method® is a very gentle and well rounded approach to do this. Through this method I support individuals with specialized needs move, breathe, and relax for improved physical and emotional health. This method makes yoga accessible for everyone at any age. Additionally, I combine an in-depth knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and human development with Acupuncture, Chinese Herbs, Chinese medicinal dietary intervention, and years of yoga and meditation practice and study when working with all my clients.
I want to share my experience and training in healthcare from my varied and well rounded perspectives to assist children and adults in making healthy choices. Improved health can increase one's joy and peace and that benefits every aspect of our lives.
